Stay awake with the lid closed
Close the lid during a download, a build or an AI task and your Mac keeps working with the screen off. Music keeps playing too, so Spotify can carry on through your AirPods or speakers. When everything finishes, your Mac goes to sleep. With nothing running, closing the lid sleeps your Mac as usual. Works on power, and on battery down to 20% if you allow it.
Choose when the screen turns off
Keep the screen on for as long as your Mac is awake, follow System Settings, or set your own delay. The screen turning off no longer stops anything: your Mac keeps working until MacRest puts it to sleep.
Prevent locking
See when macOS will lock your Mac, with a short guide to change it. Useful for apps that need an unlocked Mac to keep working.
Music counts as media
Media is playing now covers music, podcasts and calls in apps like Spotify and Music, not only video. MacRest shows which app is playing.
Know why your Mac slept
If a closed Mac goes to sleep because the battery runs low or it gets too warm, MacRest tells you when you open it again.

Choose what happens when you walk away
Walking away can now lock your Mac and leave it running, so downloads, builds and anything on the network carry on while the screen is locked. Choose between sleep, lock or sleep + lock.
